Description
Art Deco Lorgnette Sterling Silver Opera Glasses Folding Dress Clip Rhinestones Fabulous antique Lorgnette and/or dress clip. Sterling silver, glass lenses, marked “STER” on the side, see 3rd photo.
The rhinestones look like French paste to me. Leaf flower design, brilliant pastes are pave’ set down in, very typical of that period. Can be used right handed or left handed, handle swings both ways. Glasses fold at center and the hinge folds the dress clip/handle down over. Glasses frame measures 3 5/8″ by 5/8″. Dress Clip measures 2 1/8″ by a hair under 1″ at top.
Beautiful condition for its age – I couldn’t get a good picture of the lovely sparkle. One stone is missing, see last photo.
